What the service is

orgchart.fyi is a tool for building and sharing an organization's chart. It is not legal, employment or HR advice.

Organizations and the data on a chart

• An organization's owner and admins decide what goes on its chart and who may see each part of it. By entering people's details, the organization confirms it has the right to do so and has told those people as the law where they work requires.
• We keep each field to the people the organization's visibility settings allow. Those settings are the organization's to choose; we are not responsible for what they allow.
• Admins, and members if an admin allows it, may download what they can see of the chart. A downloaded file is the organization's to protect; deleting data on orgchart.fyi does not reach copies already downloaded.
• An organization has one owner, who holds its plan and may delete it. The owner may hand the organization to another member.

Accounts

• You sign in with Google, Microsoft, or a one-time link sent to your email address. Keep access to that account or inbox to yourself: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
• You must be 18 or older.
• You may delete your account at any time from the account menu, once no organization depends on you as its owner.

The free trial, and Starter, Professional and Enterprise

• Plans belong to an organization, not a person, and are priced per organization, not per person.
• Free trial: a new organization gets 7 days of Professional at no charge, with no card asked for. When the trial ends without a plan, the organization becomes read-only: its members can still see the chart, but nothing can be changed until the owner chooses a plan. Nothing is deleted because a trial ended. We may change or end the trial offer for organizations created after the change.
• Starter ($4.99 a month): up to 25 people and one admin (the owner), the built-in fields at their default visibility.
• Professional ($9.99 a month): up to 100 people and 3 admins; custom fields, hidden people and changing who may see each field.
• Enterprise ($24.99 a month): up to 250 people and any number of admins; everything in Professional, plus editors who may change one branch of the chart.
• "People" means the people on the chart, not counting open roles or people who have left. Prices are in US dollars, before any sales tax or VAT the payment provider adds.
• Plans are monthly subscriptions bought by the organization's owner. Each renews once a month until cancelled. Cancelling keeps the plan until the end of the month paid for, after which the organization becomes read-only. Moving from one plan to another changes the existing subscription; the difference is prorated by the payment provider. A plan cannot be moved to another organization.
• If a plan shrinks, nothing on the chart is deleted: the organization keeps it and may keep editing it, but may not grow past the smaller plan's limits or start using a feature it no longer has.
• Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. Their terms apply to the transaction. Prices may change; a change applies from the next renewal, never to a period already paid for.
• Free grants: we may give an organization Enterprise with no charge and no end date — through a code we hand out, or through an open offer any owner may accept while we run it. We may end an offer or stop honouring a code at any time; a plan already granted is not taken away, unless a code we gave was sold or published, which a code may not be.

• If we ever shut the service down, subscribers will be given notice and a way to export their chart, and [SHUTDOWN COMMITMENT — e.g. a pro-rated refund of any paid period not used].

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, visibility settings or other people's accounts.
• Do not scrape, bulk-query or resell the service. The data an organization enters is its own.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss from relying on it, including decisions made from a chart or information shown to someone your visibility settings allowed to see it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
